Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala is set for hand surgery.

Agirrezabala fractured the third metacarpal bone in his right hand during training on Tuesday.

He was to be examined by a specialist on Wednesday and the club has confirmed he will undergo surgery in the coming days.

Spain U21 international Agirrezabala has been acting as Unai Simon's deputy at Athletic Club.
