Athletic Bilbao coach Ernesto Valverde insists they're capable of beating Barcelona today.

The Lions, who are four points off sixth place, are without a win in LaLiga since February 11 and will be desperate to stick with the race for Europe.

"We need a win. The table is very tight and we are up against the leaders," Valverde said at a pre-match press conference on Saturday.

"It will be a tough game, but we are hopeful we can win tomorrow. Anything can happen in any game and nothing has been decided yet."

Although both teams are missing important players, the boss singled out Barça's resilient defence and attacking talent, while also urging Athleticzales to get behind Los Rojiblancos.

He continued: "Barça have very good defenders, they press hard and are physically strong. They always have offensive capabilities and they have added a good level of defence to that.

"We want the fans to be with us and cheer us on so we can all go for the game together. We want to put our strengths into action and do well."
