Athletic Bilbao coach Ernesto Valverde says there's room for improvement after their 0-0 draw with Real Mallorca.
Athletic Club kicked off their LaLiga campaign with a stalemate on Monday night.
Valverde said: “We have tried from the first minute, we have come out with a lot of enthusiasm and I do think that we could have scored a goal that would unbalance the scoreboard due to the chances we have had.
"There was a lot of difficulty in the game that they posed because they reinforce each other a lot in their defensive line, being very close together and going on the counterattack. We have to insist because we know that we are a team that, many times, find it difficult to create chances. That is why we have to generate more and more clear and we will work on it to improve.
"In general terms, the scoreboard has not smiled on us, but I think there are many good things that we have to try to maintain. The team has had a great attitude. It has wanted to carry the weight of the match and has been strong."
