Athletic Bilbao coach Marcelino was left frustrated after their 1-1 draw with Getafe.
Marcelino bemoaned a lack of accuracy in the final third after the 1-1 draw with Getafe CF in Bilbao on Friday night.
The Rojiblancos conceded an early but were level at the break. Getafe went down to ten men in the second half but Athletic were unable to make the extra man count, in large part due to an inspired performance by David Soria in goal for the visitors.
“I've got no complaints about the way the team worked hard," Marcelino said at a post-match press conference.
“I'm pleased with how the team kept trying to win until the final whistle."
He continued: “We had 22 shots on goal and created seven or eight clear goal-scoring chances. With those numbers you normally win.
“It's also true we made another mistake at the start. From that point of view, our performance wasn't the best possible. Although after that we picked ourselves up and got back in the game."
