Atalanta have confirmed energy and lighting products manufacturer Gewiss as the naming rights holder for the club's Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia home, in a deal to help fund renovations, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.
The six-year arrangement will start from the 2019/20 season with Atalanta hoping for the renovation work at the stadium to be completed by 2021.
With a current capacity of 21,300, the newly renamed stadium will expand to 24,000 once the work is finished.
Under the deal, Gewiss will provide lighting solutions for the stadium as well as provisions for the management, protection and distribution of energy on the stadium campus.
Gewiss already provides lighting systems at Atalanta's training ground in Zingonia.
Luca Percassi, chief executive at Atalanta, said: "We are very pleased to welcome Gewiss who, starting from the 2019/2020 season, will officially become part of the Atalantine family.
"The [deal] with Gewiss is more than a partnership, it is the will to collaborate together in the realisation of a project of great value for Bergamo and all the Bergamo people."
