West Ham United have failed in a bid for Atalanta attacker Duvan Zapata.

The Hammers were attempting to sign a striker to replace Marko Arnautovic.

But CalcioMercato reports the bid for Zapata was rejected.

The striker has 14 goals in 20 Serie A games this term.

But the Hammers would have to come back with a much bigger offer to tempt Atalanta.

And failing to secure his signature would mean that Arnautovic remains in London for the rest of the season at least.
