Atalanta midfielder Josip Ilicic is ready to stay with La Dea.

Ilicic has been linked with a move to AC Milan in recent weeks, with coach Gian Piero Gasperini admitting he wanted to leave.

Sky Italia says there was a meeting this morning between Ilicic and Gasperini in which they resolved some of the tension that had accumulated last season.

His contract runs to June 2022, although there is also an option to extend until 2023, and he has been at the club since leaving Fiorentina in 2017.

And it's suggested the 33 year-old now plans to stay.
