Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie admits he has ambitions of playing for Manchester United.
Kessie's agent revealed this week he was denied a move to Sunderland over the summer due to work permit problems.
Kessie told Sky Italia: "I have two role models in football, Essien and Yaya Toure, I am inspired a little by both. Essien runs a lot, Yaya is more offensive. They told me I have to work so much more to reach the highest levels.
"I like the English league, now I have to learn Italian tactics and then maybe one day go to Manchester United. I do not know if Jose Mourinho will still be there, but its the team I always liked.
"I was close to Sunderland, I'd like to play in England in the future."
