Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini says they're worthy of Champions League qualification.
The Oribici reach the elite club competition for the first time, finishing third place in Serie A after their 3-1 win over Sassuolo.
“Qualifying for the Champions League is something that we couldn't have previously dreamt about," he told Sky Sport Italia.
“It's never happened before for, and it's something we've gone about in an honourable and responsible way.
“In my opinion, Atalanta will do very well in the Champions League next season.
“We'll have to make two or three signings that we have targeted for specific positions, and they'll have to be good enough to compete with those 14-15 who have found more time on the pitch this year."
