Aston Villa are weighing up a new move for Bournemouth striker Josh King.
The Birmingham Mail says the Norway international was considered by Villa during the summer before top target Ollie Watkins arrived in a club-record £28million deal.
King, who was desperate to return to the Premier League after Bournemouth's relegation, remained available on deadline day but Villa felt they were well equipped with Keinan Davis providing to backup to Watkins.
But there are suggestions Villa could take another look at King in January with Davis only having just returned from injury and Wesley Moraes continuing his long-term recovery.
West Ham United are also rumoured to be keen on King and Frank McAvennie believes it would be a hammer blow for his former club if they missed out on the 28-year-old having held an interest in Watkins before his move to Villa.
