Atletico Madrid are ready to splash out on Aston Villa fullback Matty Cash.

Atletico see the new Poland international as a replacement for Kieran Trippier after his sale to Newcastle in January.

AS says Villa are prepared to cash in on the defender as they seek to raise funds to sign Philippe Coutinho permanently.

On-loan from Barcelona, Coutinho's outright transfer is a priority for Villa.

And the €35m sale of Cash will help the Villans to close the signing of the Brazil international.
