Aston Villa, Tottenham threaten Sevilla plans for Maxime Lopez

Sevilla face stiff competition from England for Olympique Marseille midfielder Maxime Lopez.

Marca says an offer of €8m was put on the table in the winter, and Sevilla had planned to return for him this summer as his contact enters its final year.

But the financial blow dealt by the coronavirus matched with Premier League competition has their chase of the midfielder under question.

Aston Villa, Tottenham and West Ham have already declared their own respective interest in the player.

It's thought though that Sevilla are in an advantageous position as Lopez himself feels that the style of play in Spain is better suited to his game.
