Aston Villa to test Liverpool resolve with bumper Brewster bid

Aston Villa are ready to test Liverpool's resolve over Rhian Brewster.

The Birmingham Mail says Villa are preparing a £20m bid for Brewster.

Brewster has previously expressed his desire to remain at Anfield for the 2020/21 campaign but has not ruled out another loan move away from the Reds.

The young forward could see himself sold by Liverpool, though, if a sizeable bid is made, although any such deal is expected to include a buy-back clause.

Villa are not the only club interested in Brewster, but the Midlands side appear intent on bolstering their attacking options this season having already signed Ollie Watkins from Brentford.

Brewster would be behind Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi in the pecking order at Anfield, which has alerted clubs such as Villa and Sheffield United to the England Under-21 international's potential availability.
