Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins says things are "starting to gel" under Steven Gerrard.
Tuesday's victory over Norwich means Villa have won four out of six games with Gerrard in charge.
"It was a hard game at times," Watkins said. "Norwich had a lot of the ball, but we dug in to get the three points. We showed them respect. They haven't been great but at home they could have got a goal and made it hard.
"Jacob [Ramsey] has all the attributes to become a top player. I got fouled on the halfway line so I was just watching him do the rest. It was a tap-in at the end – I'll take that every day of the week.
"There's a real hunger in the squad to push on and make the most of what we have in the squad. I think we're starting to gel together now and want to keep pushing up the league.
"We've come up against some big teams. We felt like we could have taken a draw against Liverpool [on Saturday]. I feel like we're a hard team to beat. Every game we should be looking to win."
