Aston Villa have reportedly renewed their interest in Emmanuel Adebayor after the Togolese striker's Tottenham contract was terminated.

Sky Bet have installed the Villans as odds-on favourites to land the 31-year-old now he is a free agent.

Adebayor played some of his best football for Spurs while under current Villa manager Tim Sherwood.

It is understood Adebayor's wage demands may prove to be a stumbling block in Villa's hopes of signing the former Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid star.
