Aston Villa set to reward Cameron Archer with new contract

Aston Villa are offering Cameron Archer a new contract in the hopes of preventing a January exit.

According to Football Insider, the 20-year-old is the subject of interest from clubs in England and around Europe.

He can sign a pre-contract with any team from outside England in January.

However, Villa are hoping that a substantial pay rise and the promise of game time will be enough to convince Archer to commit his future to the club.

Coach Dean Smith and the rest of his staff have a clear plan to further integrate Archer into the first team, as they believe he can go on to become a top Premier League player.
