Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Sanson is being put up for sale this summer.
The Frenchman left Olympique Marseille for Villa in January 2021, but has struggled for regular action this season under manager Steven Gerrard.
Football Insider says a return to OM has been raised, where president Pablo Longoria remains a fan.
Any deal, however, will depend on Longoria agreeing to meet Villa's €12m valuation.
Sanson could move to OM as a replacement for the departing Boubacar Kamara, who was watched by Gerrard last week.
