Aston Villa are making a late move for released Manchester City winger Martin Petrov.
The Daily Mail says Villa will try and persuade Petrov to join them ahead of Bolton after last-ditch talks.
Blackburn Rovers have also offered terms to the Bulgaria winger, who is a free agent after being released by Manchester City.
But Petrov, 31, is keen to play for a club of Villa's stature and link up with compatriot Stilian Petrov.
