Aston Villa remain interested in Bologna left-back Aaron Hickey.

Villa boss Steven Gerrard first noticed Hickey when he was playing with Hearts in Scotland.

Sky Sports says Gerrard wants to bring the Scotsman to Villa Park this month.

Left-back is an area of concern for Gerrard and he is not relying solely on Hickey to fill the position.

Hickey has played 19 games in Serie A already this season, scoring four goals.
