Aston Villa are plotting an audacious Danny Ings swap deal for Yves Bissouma from Brighton.

Villa are working hard to refresh their squad in the summer for manager Steven Gerrard.

According to the Mirror, Bissouma is a key target for Villa, and they even attempted to secure him in January.

One player who Villa may not need next season is Danny Ings, and Gerrard is considering using him in a swap deal.

With Brighton eager to sign a forward in the summer to increase their goal output, Ings may fit the bill for their boss Graham Potter.

A bid of Ings and cash may be enough to convince Brighton to sell Bissouma.
