Aston Villa are in talks with Ezri Konsa over a new and improved contract at Villa Park.
The centre-back was linked with both Liverpool and Tottenham last month, having become a key player for Dean Smith's side so far this season.
The Mirror says Villa are keen to commit the Englishman to a new long-term deal in a bid to end all speculation surrounding his future with the club.
Konsa's existing deal is due to expire in June 2023, although Smith's side have the option of activating an additional 12 months.
The defender is being pushed for an England call this month.
