Aston Villa No2 Terry publicly backs Chelsea Thiago Silva move

Aston Villa assistant coach John Terry is backing former club Chelsea's move for departing PSG captain Thiago Silva.

Thiago Silva confirmed after his side's Champions League final defeat to Bayern Munich that it was his last game for the club and that he would move on this summer.

Chelsea look to be the front runners for his signature as talks suggest the Brazilian will put pen to paper on a one-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

And it appears former Blues skipper Terry is a fan of his old club's approach for Thiago Silva after liking a post on social media showing the 35-year-old mocked up in a Chelsea kit.

The post from Instagram account 433 read: "Thiago Silva says goodbye to PSG after 8 years and 23 trophies. His move to Chelsea is almost done."
