Aston Villa assistant manager John Terry is interested in the Bristol City job.
The former Chelsea captain, who is currently assistant to Dean Smith at Aston Villa, has made no secret of wanting to branch out and is attracted to the potential of Bristol City, who parted company with Lee Johnson last week.
The Daily Mail says Terry is ready to manage in his own right and is the latest high-profile candidate to express interest in the vacant Bristol City post.
Chris Hughton remains the favourite, with Plymouth Argyle's Ryan Lowe also in the frame. City have yet to hold formal talks with any of the applicants and are taking their time with the process.
Dean Holden will continue as caretaker for today's trip to Middlesbrough.
