Emmanuel Adebayor's proposed move to Aston Villa has hit a snag.

According to the Daily Mail, Villa boss Tim Sherwood is now unsure of a season-long loan for the Tottenham striker who is unwanted in north London.

The 31-year-old Togo international had discussed personal terms, taken a medical and been shown around the Bodymoor Heath training ground but is believed to be uncertain of moving away from his London home.

It is understood that Sherwood is keen to cancel the potential deal and will look at other options to fill the void left by Christian Benteke's £32.5million move to Liverpool.
