Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish is available for England selection after missing defeat to Liverpool on Saturday.

The playmaker was ruled out of the 2-1 defeat by the Premier League leaders due to a calf problem but on Friday evening he had been confident of starting the game.

Villa boss Dean Smith has told England boss Gareth Southgate he would be taking no risks by picking Grealish.

Smith said: "He's available for selection that's for sure. He'll be fit for the Wolves game, I'm sure he'll be back training. It's a dead calf and after training on Friday it was probably just a day too soon.

"He trained on Friday and was fine, he was due to start against Liverpool but he felt it tightened up on Saturday morning. He went for a run on the pitch and felt he wasn't 100 per cent.

"I said we needed to make sure he was 100 per cent because Liverpool are a top team. He held his hands up and said 'I'm not'."
