Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz tells critical fans to go forth and multiply

Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz has told critical fans to go forth and multiply after conceding a penalty in defeat to Manchester Ünited on Sunday.

Luiz has hit back at his Villa critics after his foul on Pogba sparked Manchester United's comeback at Villa Park.

The Brazilian was at fault in the 52nd-minute after bundling Frenchman Pogba over inside the box, with the exact same happening at Old Trafford on New Year's Day.

After being hammered online, the 23-year-old posted a message in Portuguese to social media: "I'm enjoying my day, let me enjoy it in peace!

"I am a passionate player for the club and I never wanted to commit a penalty like this and end up hurting the team and the result.

"Now, who doesn't understand me, **** you. I'm happy to be 23 years old. With many errors, I'm learning!! Thank you all for the messages you are sending me, as soon as I have time I will answer them all, I love you all. FAMILY."
