Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is planning a swap bid for Birmingham City goalkeeper Ben Foster.
The Mirror says McLeish is ready to use keeper Brad Guzan as a sweetener to land Foster from hated rivals Birmingham City.
American Guzan will be allowed to move on by McLeish and Blues have an interest in the shot-stopper, who is just back from a loan spell with Hull.
Now McLeish is poised to offer Guzan plus cash for England cap Foster - although the negotiations are going to be hard because of the bar relations between the clubs over his managerial switch.
