Aston Villa have launched a bid for Barcelona defender Yerry Mina.

TMW says the Championship outfit, under new ownership, have made a €20m cash offer for the Colombia international.

However, the bid fell well short of Barca's €40m valuation.

Along with Villa, Manchester United and Everton are also keen on ferrying Mina away from Barca in the next week.

For his part, the defender is prepared to leave after a tough first six months at the Nou Camp.
