Aston Villa are pondering a summer move for Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez.

The veteran is a former teammate of Villa boss Steven Gerrard, from their Liverpool days.

The 35-year-old is likely to leave Atleti this summer, as he has become a bit part player for Diego Simeone's side this term.

According to The Athletic, Villa will look at bringing Suarez to the club in the summer, if the player is open to the move.

The Uruguayan was one of the best center forwards in the world during his previous spell in the league, but is likely a different player considering his age.
