Fenerbahce defender Attila Szalai is on the radar of Newcastle United, though they face stiff competition.

Newcastle, reports Blikk, are among a host of clubs reportedly interested in Szalai.

Szalai only joined the Turkish giants in the January transfer window from Cypriot Side Apollon Limassol but has made an immediate impact in the Turkish Super Lig.

The likes of Leicester and Napoli have been linked with the 23-year-old since and the Magpies and Aston Villa are set to enter the race to sign the 11-cap Hungary international.
