Aston Villa are chasing Werder Bremen midfielder Zlatko Junuzovic.
The 26 year-old Austria international is inside the final year of his Werder deal and in talks over a new contract.
"I have never said yes or no. It is open in both directions. It's not just about finances, we must also talk about other things," argued Junuzovic.
Villa hope to take advantage of the situation by offering £4.5 million for the midfielder.
Junuzovic is a national teammate of Villa striker Andi Weimann.
