Aston Villa goalkeeper Pepe Reina supports the three-week suspension of the Premier League.

Reina also argues the Euros should be postponed for 12 months.

He told Radio Marca: "It was crazy to keep playing. We must all take this seriously. The other countries most affected have already taken their radical measures and we have to go down that path.

"England cannot close its eyes and look the other way. Life and everyone's health is much more important than any sport. The priorities in life must be made clear and this of soccer is just a game and entertainment for the people. The health of the people must prevail before any other interest."

Reina added: "The Leagues should only start again when everything calms down ... and the most logical thing is to send the Euros next year. That should be the first step. "
