Aston Villa are reportedly preparing a £1million bid for Barnsley right-back Mason Holgate.
The Daily Mail is reporting Holgate turned down the opportunity to re-sign with the Tykes on Monday and is set to leave the club during the summer transfer window.
The 18-year-old made 22 appearances for the Tykes in League One last season, scoring one goal, and has attracted the attention of Villa boss Tim Sherwood.
