Aston Villa are favourites to land Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland.

The Daily Mail says Villa and Bournemouth have both made enquiries for the England international and Villa are expected to make an offer this week with Stoke wanting £23million.

They have considered other options abroad but Butland's Premier League experience means Villa will put forward a bid for the 23-year-old.

Stoke are considering Joe Hart as an experienced replacement should Butland depart.

Meanwhile, a Villa bid for Brentford's Said Benrahma was rejected last week while Nottingham Forest continue to price out Joe Lolley from a potential move to Villa Park also.
