Aston Villa defender Micah Richards is set to retire.

Many fans still remember when Richards broke onto the scene at Manchester City a decade ago.

But the 30-year-old struggled with knee injuries, failing to find form at centre-back or right back.

He has not played for Villa since 2016.

And the Daily Mail claims that when his contract runs out in June, he will retire from the sport.

Richards played his first senior game at 17, while getting his first of 13 England caps at 18.
