Aston Villa defender Jores Okore has hit back at caretaker manager Eric Black following accusations that he refused to play recently.

Okore was a surprise omission from the Villa squad that squared off against Bournemouth a few weeks ago and following the game, Black suggested that the Denmark international was left out as he refused to take his place on the bench for the encounter.

Now Okore has gone on to speak regarding the issue and has denied the accusations through a couple of posts on Twitter.

I refuse to play?, I was on the bench against Chelsea and the games before, why didn't I refuse to play those games?
