Leeds United have signed Aston Villa's Australian defender Shane Lowry on-loan.

The 20-year-old centre-half, who enjoyed a three-month spell at Championship side Plymouth earlier in the season, will stay at Elland Road until March 13.

Lowry has been signed in time to feature in Saturday's League One home game against Colchester.

He becomes the third Australian at Leeds after Patrick Kisnorbo and Neil Kilkenny.
