Lorient has accepted a £9million offer from Aston Villa for striker Jordan Ayew, according to reports.

Villa are in desperate need to add to it's strikeforce following the departure of Christian Benteke to Liverpool for £32.5million last week.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Lorient has accepted a transfer offer for 23-year-old Ayew, with the Ghanaian international set to undergo a medical at Villa Park in the coming days.

Ayew scored 12 goals in 26 appearances in Ligue 1 last season.
