Aston Villa captain Grealish reacts to breaking Prem hoodoo

Jack Grealish was delighted with Aston Villa's 2-0 win against Everton.

It was a very special night for Grealish who captained his boyhood club to victory in the Premier League and ended an unwanted record in the process.

As one of the players during the dismal 2015/16 campaign Grealish was on the losing side in 18 successive Premier League games.

Defeats to Tottenham and Bournemouth only added to his misery, making it an even 20 prior to Everton's visit to Villa Park.

But, thanks to Wesley and El Ghazi's ruthlessness, Grealish finally ended a Premier League game on the winning side under the Villa Park lights on Friday, reports BirminghamLive.

Grealish had just two words for his Twitter followers afterwards: “Thank f***."

Asked about Grealish's tweet in his post match press conference, Villa boss Dean Smith said: "If you look at the total minutes he played in those 20 games there was about four games in them! It's a monkey off everyone's back that first win in the Premier League and he'll be as pleased as anyone."
