Aston Villa could yet trump Inter Milan for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud in the coming days.

Inter have been regarded as favourites to sign the France international, however Le 10 Sport says no offer from the Nerazzurri has yet been tabled.

It's understood Inter need to sell first before they can make a bid for Giroud.

And the delays have opened the door to rivals, including Villa as they seek a replacement for knee injury victim Wesley.

Chelsea are seeking at least £10m to sell Giroud this month.
