Aston Villa boss Dean Smith feels Keinan Davis can rotate with Ally Samatta for the remainder of the season.

January addition Samatta has made a bright start since joining for £9m but offers something different to Davis.

With the games coming thick and fast, Smith is ready for his front men to share the burden in the run-in.

"I actually got him (Davis) and Ally (Samatta) into my office when I told them which one was going to be starting and said, 'Listen, you are going to have to share the workload between you for the games'.

"Being a lone striker is tough. There are times when I will be asking them to play together as well, but they need to make sure both of them are ready."
