Aston Villa boss Dean Smith was delighted with their 2-1 win at Everton.
Ollie Watkins and Anwar El Ghazi struck for the visitors.
Smith said afterwards, "I thought it was a really good performance which was the main thing. We have lacked a little consistency of late. We took the game to a strong Everton team.
"I thought we created the better chances in the first half then we were denied by a really good goalkeeping performance. It was a great goal to win it with.
"Everybody will find it difficult without Jack Grealish. He is a very talented player but we have tried to build some consistency and momemtum.
"We wanted to be on the front foot and continue the performance from West Brom. We made a few mistakes for their goals but we knew that we were playing well and needed to take it into today's game against a top eight team.
"That's what Ollie [Watkins] can do - pick pocket the ball off centre-halves - but his all round game is getting better and better. Anwar El Ghazi showed the class he has. We want to see him do that more often but with the goals he has it shows he's done okay."
