Aston Villa boss Sherwood makes check on Swindon ace Luongo

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood was in the stands as Swindon Town progressed to the League One play-off final on Monday night.

The Villa boss was at the County Ground to check on Robins midfielder Massimo Luongo who has been linked with a Premier League move this summer.

The 22-year old Australia international has starred for Swindon this season and is now just one match away from helping the Wiltshire club into the Championship following a 10-goal thriller with Sheffield United which allowed the Robins to win 7-6 on aggregate after the second leg 5-5 draw.

However, Luongo could be pried away from Swindon with Sherwood believed to be very interested in the 2015 Asian Cup Player of the Tournament.

Mark Cooper's Swindon will now meet Preston North End in the Championship play-off final at Wembley on May 24.
