Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard admits on-loan Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe is leaving.

Tuanzebe is set to join Napoli this week.

He did not play in Villa's 2-1 defeat to Brentford this afternoon.

“I'd like to keep the player until the end of the season at least," said Villa manager Gerrard.

“But this is a case of it's totally out of my hands, it's in the hands of Axel, his representatives and Manchester United and we should know by the end of play today."
