Aston Villa boss Unai Emery says former club Sevilla are capable of winning the Europa League.
Sevilla face Juventus in the semifinal, with the first-leg staged tonight.
Emery said, “It's like a great final. And I say this with the utmost respect for Mourinho's Roma and Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen. I am convinced that whoever wins between the Bianconeri and the Andalusians will be the favourite to win the trophy in Budapest.
"I support Sevilla, but Juve have a certain advantage. Juve will have to have great respect for Sevilla for the full 180 minutes. With the new coach, Mendilibar, they have recovered and have experienced players. They did not eliminate Manchester United in the quarter-finals by accident. Playing at Sánchez Pizjuán is hard for everyone.
“Sevilla, from the club to the fans, see it as a priority. They are aware that they cannot compete for the Champions League with Real Madrid and that is why they experience the Europa League as if it were a World Cup. And in the end that spirit, which I also learned there, serves me well in other teams. There is a unique atmosphere in Seville."
