Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce says they won't be competing for Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban.

Grabban's parent club Bournemouth have an option to recall him from Sunderland next month.

Villa have been linked with a move for Grabban, who has scored 11 league goals for the Black Cats.

But Bruce said: “I have said for three months I am looking at loans.

“How can I be linked with Lewis Grabban? I haven't got the money.

“Put a line through it."
