Aston Villa axe boss Bruce

Steve Bruce has been sacked as Aston Villa boss, according to Sky Sports.

A 3-3 draw at home to Preston on Tuesday - in which a cabbage was thrown at Bruce during the game - has left Villa with 15 points from 11 Championship games and 12th in the table

Bruce took over at the West Midlands club in October 2016, guiding them to the play-off final last season where they were defeated by Fulham.
