Former Liverpool attacker Oussama Assaidi has lifted the lid on being managed by Mino Raiola.

Assaidi admits he owes Raiola his financial stability for the contract he negotiated with the Reds.

“He turned it so that I had to be happy that he wanted to represent me. Still, he intrigued me," Assaidi told Volkskrant about his first meeting with Raiola in 2012.

"He looks tough, but really cares about you. When it comes to concluding contracts, he goes through the fire for you. And that's what it's all about."

In the summer of 2012, Assaidi made the switch from Heerenveen to Liverpool for €4m. He barely played for the Reds , but earned millions in England.

“No regrets. Mino had arranged a top contract. If I got all my bonuses, I would be among the best-paid players. While I was from Heerenveen!

“He is open to criticism. If I thought it was taking too long for a new club to arrive, he would go to work. In 2015 I arranged a club in Dubai myself. Then we broke up, no hard feelings.

“He is fighting for you. He walks away from the table four times to make the best deal. Other agents that I had wanted to keep clubs as a friend, which could be at your expense. Mino is not sorry about that."
