Asier Garitano has been named new coach of Real Sociedad.
The former Leganes coach announced before the end of the season that he'd be leaving the Madrid-based club he led to the top flight and this Thursday he has been confirmed as the new boss of La Real.
Leganes, who he joined in 2013/14, wished him well on social media after the news was confirmed by the Basque club.
"Good luck Asier in your new adventure," they started.
"As you said when you left, we hope to see you in the away dugout for a head-to-head encounter and we hope to beat you, even if we know that after the match you will always be one of our own."
Garitano takes over from Imanol Alguacil, who replaced Eusebio as Real Sociedad interim coach midway through the 2017/18 season.
