Burnley midfielder Ashley Westwood says the relegation field is lengthening.

Westwood said that his side never give up and they proved this against Southampton in the previous home match.

"We're still two points away from the drop, but we've dragged a few more teams in to it which is what you want to do when you're down there," he told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

"We're on a good little unbeaten at the moment and long may that continue.

“Everyone is saying it, we're getting more back to the Burnley way.

“Like I said, it's tough when you're down there, but we've got a lot of confidence in the team now and I think people are starting to see that and this is what we do.

“We know what we do, we are what we are. We work hard and we play when we have to. I think we're showing that a lot more now."
